Olives are picked very early in the harvest season when they are young, green and hard as rocks.

When pressed, these young olives only yield a tiny bit of oil. It takes 24lbs of Picual olives harvested in October to produce 1 liter of this (super flavorful) oil!

Olives are picked during peak harvest season when they are more mature and a bit juicier.
13LBS OF OLIVES = 1 LITER OF OIL
When pressed, these more mature, juicier olives yield a lot more oil. It only takes about 13 lbs of Picual olives harvested in December/January to produce the same liter of cooking oil.
TAKES IT EASY
Just like (most) humans, olives get more chill with age. The oil produced from these olives will be milder in flavor, and make for a more flexible cooking oil.

I subscribe to this "Duo" item and it's so convenient! I use both of these items on a regular basis, so the refill cans are perfect. If I'm not ready for a refill, the cans store easily in the pantry until needed. Using the original squeeze bottles and a funnel I always have a fresh supply of the best olive oil for sizzling and drizzling available for my recipes.

This was such an upgrade to the subscription! Also, feels so odd to write, but the cans FEEL better than regular cans. I can't describe it better than that, so I guess you'll just have to order to see what I mean. Feels very luxe.

i love graza olive oil, and the refill cans are so great. i love an opportunity to reduce plastic waste, and there's just something about cracking open a big ol can of olive oil that feels cool? idk, the design is also a bonus! i've saved one of each to stick some dried flowers in :)
