A gooder… recipe
Goodles Stuffing-Inspired Mac and Cheese, on the stove top. Make it here!
A gooder… team tradition for the holidays
We try to celebrate every day, so when actual holidays roll around, we get after it: creating a killer seasonal playlist to blast at HQ, raiding the local pumpkin patch for some fall vibes, and encouraging a little competition with a gingerbread house making contest. We love celebrating, straight up.
A gooder… reason to make someone’s day a little better
When you make someone else’s day a little better, you get two for one on your gooderness. You feel gooder, they feel gooder - there’s plenty of good to go around.
A gooder… hack for hosting Friendsgiving
Keep appetizers stocked!! We know you don’t want guests filling up on cheese and crackers before the big meal but…. When the turkey needs that extra oven time you will be grateful that your guests have something to munch on while they wait for the main course.
Also, simplify where you can! Don’t be afraid to use shortcuts—gravy from a packet is what we all know and love! Canned cranberry sauce is soooo good! You are already working your butt off on hosting, give yourself a break wherever you can to give you back more time to enjoy with your guests.
A gooder… Thanksgiving hot take
Thanksgiving food…is not just for Thanksgiving. Ok, maybe a whole turkey is just for one day a year. BUT that magical combination of sides? That can be enjoyed at any time. As soon as there is the slightest chill in the air, set a table with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, mac and cheese…. You’ll be grateful.
A gooder… way to celebrate a brand’s birthday
We’re about to celebrate our first birthday, so just figuring that out! But we’re telling everybody: no gifts this year. Instead we’re spreading community love by giving back and working with some of our local non-profit partners. We hope folks will celebrate our birthday the same way! Giving is gooder.
A gooder… way to handle the ups and downs of growing a business
Relationships have ups and downs. The Big Dipper (our favorite roller coaster at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk) has ups and downs. And startups definitely have ups and downs! (Don’t get us started about how we almost didn’t have any mac and cheese in our booth at Expo West last year! Can you imagine trying to just describe how yummy it is for 5 days!???) How do we handle so much uncertainty? You kinda just gotta enjoy the ride, together. We laugh during the fun times, but our team comes together and finds ways to laugh and be silly especially in the hard times.
I guess you could say that when the waves come to knock us down, we try and surf them. When you can keep the big-picture perspective in mind – we are changing the mac and cheese game for good! – then the day to day ups and downs don’t feel so scary. And the good thing about ups and downs? After a down, there is almost immediately an up - and in startup life, these can be so sublime! – so you don’t even remember the down.
