January Cooking Hacks

We can’t believe it’s already been one whole year of Graza! Our team is always looking for new projects and inspiration to keep things in the kitchen as fun and fresh as possible. To keep the new-year-good-vibes rolling, we’re sharing what we’ll be doing differently in our kitchens in 2023.

January Cooking Hacks

Allen, co-founder and COO:
Be more spontaneous! When I go to the grocery store I always end up buying the same things. Signed up for a weekly produce box and trying to go more off the cuff and be more creative!

Andrew, co-founder and CEO:
MAKE MY OWN BREADS AND PIZZAS. Yeah, it happened, I got a backyard pizza oven. And while I shan't eat pizza every day, I vow to use it to make other types of breads, like PITA!

Yes, you can make Pita at home, directly on the pizza stone! YESSS!

Grace, brand marketing:
I'm going to the grocery store more often and buying less. Hear me out: I live part-time in Paris, where people grocery shop multiple times a week. Big hauls are just not common! And on weekends, I'm going to pick a recipe that lets me finish everything I haven't used. (I got a Vitamix FoodCycler to turn any compost into soil.)

Kendall, head of social:
Making sure my pasta sauce doesn't just sit and go bad by reviving it with a squeeze of olive oil on top to preserve it!

Paloma, brand marketing:
I feel like this is the year I’ll finally get into pickling. It’s one of those things that seems to feel way more complicated than it really is, and so despite being a devoted Oh Snap consumer I never attempted them myself (what a bummer!). Bill Clark’s guide on How to Quick-Pickle Any Vegetable is the perfect place to start for any other pickling beginners out there.
